The Yankton School District is pleased to provide a Title I Reading and Math program at each elementary building to offer additional support in reading and math for our students. Certified teachers will deliver explicit instruction in small groups during the school day in addition to the regular classroom instruction.
Parent support and communication are vital to the success of students in the Title I program. Therefore, Title I teachers regularly communicate with parents regarding their child’s progress. Along with ongoing communication, teachers send a monthly newsletter with parent and student resources that will aid in supporting students at home with their skill development.
