Welcome to the Yankton School District Special Services site.  As the Director of Student Services, I am glad you are visiting our site. We are very proud of the programs and services we provide to students in our district. Please feel free to look around on our site, and come back from time to time as we provide updates and information we hope you will find to be of use.

Here is some basic information about our programs. The Yankton School District provides special education services to over 500 students in our schools. We serve children from birth to age 21, who are determined to be eligible for special education services.  Our students are served by a wonderful team of professionals, including qualified special education teachers, special education teaching assistants, speech/language pathologists, occupational and physical therapists as well as school psychologists.
